The 39th annual Art Auction is right around the corner in the North Peace!

The 39th annual Art auction is being held on March 8th by the Fort St John Arts Council, with this year’s event based around a steam punk theme.
This exclusive annual event invites you to dress up, indulge in fine dining and wine, and explore a stunning selection of local artwork available for purchase.
Guests can also participate in a raffle featuring unique donated items, including steampunk wine holders, cordless hedge pruners, a handcrafted metal fire pit, and an array of gift certificates generously provided by local businesses.
Only 200 tickets are up for grabs and can be purchased at the North Peace Cultural Centre (NPCC) box office.
Interested readers are encouraged to stop by Peace Gallery North, where you can preview some of the fine art that will be available for auction. Many renown local artists are featured in the collection such as Mike Kroecher, Ken Lane, Alison Newth, and Sandy Troudt.
The event will be held at the Ramada Northern Grand Ballroom, with the proceeds raised going to Peace Gallery North and a future Creative Hub according to the release.
Supporting the local art community is important because it fosters cultural identity and strengthens the unique character of a community.
Local artists capture the spirit, history, and emotions of a place in a way that mass-produced art never can. By supporting them, we encourage creative expression, preserve diverse perspectives, and help build a vibrant, inspiring environment that benefits everyone.
Investing in local artists keeps money circulating within the community, creating economic opportunities and ensuring that creative talent can thrive close to home.
