The RCMP are looking into numerous suspicious fires in the Hasler Flats area.

Numerous fires in the Pine Pass were reported to the Chetwynd RCMP shortly after 11pm on May 4.

RCMP responded swiftly and a fire in the area of Willow Flats was located during the patrols, which already had a fire crew on scene to deal with the blaze.

5 km south of Fisher Creek, evidence of another fire that had been extinguished was located approximately 30 meters from the roadway.

Evidence has been seized for forensic examination according to the media release, as these fires are believed to have been intentionally set.

The RCMP are asking anyone with any information regarding this investigation, or who were in the area of Fisher Creek during this time with dash cam footage to contact them at (250) 788-9221.
