Suspicious death in Chetwynd

RCMP are currently investigating a suspicious death which occurred in Chetwynd, B.C.

Chetwynd RCMP were called to a residence on Sunday, March 9, after the EHS  and Chetwynd Fire Department responded to an emergency involving an individual in medical distress.

When officers arrived, they found that an adult woman had been declared deceased. The RCMP E Division Major Crime Section is investigating the incident, but they have stated that they believe there is no threat to public safety in a media release on March 20.

No arrests have been made, and no additional information is available at this time. More details may be provided as the investigation progresses.
