Shots fired in Fort Nelson

Local RCMP responded swiftly on January 18, after reports of shots being fired at a residence on Chalo Road, Fort Nelson First Nation.

The residence of the home spoke with RCMP after their quick arrival, where they discovered that four shots were fired, with only one hitting the home.
Shell casings were found close to the scene, following a search of the area that was conducted by the RCMP.
The local RCMP located various items they believe may be connected to the crime after continuing their patrol including two loaded shotguns, hat, headphones and a dirt biking boot.
The RCMP were unable to locate any suspects during extensive patrols in the area and are asking the public to call the police if they recognize any of the items in the photo.
The police say there were no injuries as a result of the shots fired, however they believe the individuals involved in the crime may be known to each other and don’t feel there is any further risk to the public according to a release.
