The Northern Angel Summit is a 10-week program that brings emerging B.C. businesses together for investment opportunity.
The initiative connects local entrepreneurs with angel investors from across Northern B.C, offering an amazing opportunity for them to get noticed.
Led by investors themselves, the program offers entrepreneurs a rare chance to pitch directly to potential backers.
At the Summit’s grand finale, one standout startup will secure the entire $100,000 investment, no splits, just a serious boost for business growth.
After two dynamic nights of quarterfinal pitches these 12 semi-finalists were selected and over the summer they’ll team up with coaches to fine-tune their business plans and refine their business materials.
This September, they’ll return for the semi-finals—where only six will advance to the final round.
The top startup will be crowned live on stage at the public Summit Finale, set for September 25.
“These founders reflect the resilience and ingenuity powering innovation in Northern and rural communities of BC,” said Mary Mytting, Executive Director of the Northern Innovation Network in a media release.
“This Summit isn’t just about a single investment, it's about building capacity and confidence on both sides of the table, with angel investors and entrepreneurs. We're seeing angel investors step up and back the next generation of business leaders.”
As the first program of its kind in Northern B.C, the Northern Angel Summit aims to bridge the early-stage funding gap while supporting the region’s growing innovation sector.
It provides both entrepreneurs and investors with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to confidently raise and invest capital in high-potential businesses.
