Celebrations in Fort St. John kicked off at the Fire Hall with the family favorite pancake breakfast, which was hosted by the Fire Department before residents made their way to the parade.
The parade began around 11am with floats rolling down the route with local businesses, cultural groups, and community organizations all taking part.
Families bundled lawn chairs, strollers, and sun hats as they claimed the best views for the annual Canada Day Parade, a longstanding tradition that brings together folks from Fort St. John, Charlie Lake, Taylor, and beyond.
Following the parade the community came together at Centennial Park for loads of family friendly activities and performances including inflatables, face painting, henna, various food vendors and multiple performances on the Park Stage throughout the day.
The annual Classic Cruiser Car Show took place on 100th Street between 93 and 96 Ave, which saw vehicles from every era grace the streets of the North Peace.
Canada Day in FSJ wasn’t just a parade, it was a heartfelt reminder that community, kindness, and celebration are what truly unite us.
