‘Sleeping Beauties’ is a brand-new collection of paintings on display in Fort St. John by local artist Suzon Anne.

The opening reception for ‘Sleeping Beauties’ was well attended on Friday, February 7th at Peace Gallery North in Fort St. John.

This exhibit by local artist Suzone Anne consists of more than 60 paintings that will be open for public viewing at Peace Gallery North between Tuesday-Saturday, 11-5.

These paintings are brand new and are examples of her classic multi-media style including acrylic and water colour paintings.

Suzone will be holding a mixed media art night on February 22, from 7 – 9pm at the North Peace Cultural Centre. The cost per person is $50 which includes GST, all the supplies you will need and a beverage.

The session will be a fun filled night of creating art using mixed media with various mediums, after which you will get to take home something unique and original

Supporting local artists offers several benefits that can have a meaningful impact on both the artist and the community including preservation of local identity and culture while encouraging creativity and innovation.

Our readers are encouraged to stop into Peace Gallery North and experience ‘Sleeping Beauties’ while there is still time!
