A recent fatal collision on Highway 97 near Mackenzie, BC, is being investigated by the BC Highway Patrol, who are interested in the minutes leading up to the accident and looking for witnesses.

A black Dodge Ram 3500 pickup was towing a flat deck trailer along Highway 97 on August 16, and around 1:45pm when it collided with a black Ford Bronco at Bijoux Falls according to a RCMP media release.
Both the driver and passenger of the black Dodge Ram were transported to hospital, as well as one of the passengers and the driver of the Ford Bronco. Sadly, a second passenger traveling in the Ford Bronco, a 28-year-old from North Vancouver, did not survive.
“Police are very interested in how these vehicles were driving in the minutes leading up to the collision, and we’re looking for more witnesses who saw that black Ford Bronco or the black Dodge Ram towing a trailer,” says Corporal Michael McLaughlin with BC Highway Patrol. “If you have dash camera footage that’s also crucial.”
