Arrest made following an illegal firearm transaction

Following a tip from concerned citizens reporting what seemed to be two men engaged in a firearm transaction, local RCMP confiscate a firearm and suspected drugs.

The Dawson Creek RCMP received a report following what appeared to be two men exchanging a firearm for cash on November 9.
According to the RCMP media release this transaction took place in the parking lot near 4th Street and Highway 2 in Dawson Creek. Local RCMP quickly responded and arrested Jayden Cobb and detained two others.

After an investigation, the RCMP concluded that an illegal transaction had likely occurred, identifying Jayden as the responsible individual.
Police seized Canadian and American money, a shotgun, ammunition, and a large quantity of suspected cocaine after searching the area and Jayden.
Jayden was found to have violated multiple court-imposed conditions, including breaching his house arrest curfew and possessing weapons despite being prohibited from doing so.
