The 40th annual Art Auction Gala is just around the corner, with this year’s event promising a touch of vintage glamour in the North Peace.

Hosted by the Fort St. John Community Arts Council, the milestone event will embrace a Roaring Twenties theme, inviting guests to step into the elegance and energy of the Jazz Age.
Attendees can channel their inner flapper and dress in their finest 1920s fashion, though participation in the theme and dressing ‘to the nines’ is entirely optional.
“The Art Auction is an annual fundraising event put on by the Fort St. John Community Arts Council,” wrote Peace Gallery North on their social media. “The evening will include a quality buffet, entertainment, a silent auction, numerous raffles, door prizes, and a live auction featuring outstanding work by local artists and artisans.”
Tickets are currently on sale, and cost 95$ with the gala taking place March 7, 2026, at the Pomeroy Hotel, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The annual Art Auction continues to be an important fundraiser supporting local arts and cultural initiatives throughout the area, while also giving residents an opportunity to celebrate the talent and creativity found throughout the region.
Supporting the local arts community helps strengthen cultural identity and highlights the unique character of the North Peace.
Events like the Art Auction bring people together, encourage creative expression, and help ensure local artists and artisans can continue to thrive close to home.
