Suspect located after Fort St. John home invasion
Fort St. John RCMP say the suspect in a violent home invasion and sexual assault on 87 Street has now been located.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. on Oct. 27 in the 8900-block of 87 Street.
Police say an unknown man followed one of the female residents home and entered the residence.
People inside the home initially scared him off, prompting a call to police and a search of the surrounding neighbourhood.
The man was not found during that search.
RCMP say he later returned to the home, where he sexually assaulted a second resident before being scared away again.
The Fort St. John General Investigative Section took over the investigation.
“Local police find this behaviour very concerning and believe he may attempt to reoffend. They are asking that anyone in the area who witnessed the man in the neighbourhood, or who may have captured his movements on their video surveillance or dash cameras please contact the Fort St John non-emergency line at 250-787-8140 to speak with a police officer,” said Corporal Jennifer Cooper, BC RCMP spokesperson for Northern B.C.
Police later released a more detailed description of the suspect, describing him as a Caucasian man in his mid-thirties, tall and heavier set, with facial hair. He was wearing black pants, a black hoodie and a hat at the time of the incident.
The RCMP’s updated release now states that the suspect has been located.
The investigation remains ongoing.
