The wonderful and exclusive treat is being sold at select locations around the region, as Special Olympics Donuts help support local programs and athletes.

Tim Hortons and Special Olympics Canada have teamed up to offer the Special Olympics Donut at participating restaurants from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, where 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to local Special Olympics programs. For a short time, customers could purchase the Special Olympics Donut and know that they were helping athletes in their community gain confidence and skills while participating in the sport they love.
Local Tim Hortons team members took pride in promoting the Special Olympics Donut while keeping it front and center while customers visited registers, many of whom chose to purchase one to support the cause.
Local fundraisers help the Special Olympics programs continue to reach athletes and families around the province while giving athletes of all abilities the chance to train for and compete in the sports they love. It also allows athletes to develop lifelong skills of friendship and belonging. For many Special Olympics athletes, this may be the only sport they can participate in year-round.
More than $3 million dollars has been raised for Special Olympics Canada through this delicious campaign since 2022, with the record being broke in 2025 as $1.3 million was raised through this sweet fundraiser.
While the Special Olympics Donuts campaign is almost over, our heart to give certainly isn’t. A big thank you to everyone who helped spread some sweetness around.
