The annual Chetwynd Chainsaw Championship is back June 5-7th 8:00am – 6:00pm, and June 8th 8:00am – 1:00pm.

The one of a kind competition is back, welcoming 12 carvers and marking the 19th year for the Chetwynd International Chainsaw Carving Championship.
This event is held on the second weekend of June and is a family-friendly weekend which is free for the public to attend and enjoy. Various craft and food vendors will be there as well as multiple sponsor boots from all over the region.
Master carvers will show their skill by carving on a 40 -50 inch diameter by 8 foot tall western red cedar according to Chetwyndchainsawcarvings.com.
June 5-7th carving times are 8am -6pm, while they will only have 8am – 1pm on June 8th, with the quick carve taking place on Sunday at 3pm, followed by the auction and awards.
