Peace Country Mobile Home Park has once again drawn police attention after a search warrant executed on November 21 led to eight arrests and the seizure of a loaded firearm.

A drug trafficking investigation recently came to an end in the park following the execution of a search warrant at what police called a ‘problem premise’.
On November 21, the North Peace RCMP conducted a search warrant at a residence in the park which was well known to local police following multiple calls and reports made over the last year.
Eight individuals were arrested because of the search which was conducted by the Fort St. John RCMP Street Enforcement Team (SET), Serious Crimes Unit (SCU), and frontline officers.
Police seized various illegal items during the search including a loaded pistol, money, drugs, and thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen tools according to the release.
The police stated online they believe the tools were stolen from the North Peace area and they are currently trying to identify the rightful owners.
“The Street Enforcement Team continues its tireless efforts to combat the illicit drug trade and the related crimes that often accompany it, such as property theft,” said Fort St. John RCMP Plain Clothes Unit Commander Sergeant Ian Rissanen in the release. “SET remains committed to addressing nuisance properties linked to illegal activity in the Fort St. John area.”
Following the completion of their investigation the RCMP released most of the individuals from their custody while the appropriate charges are determined. One female will remain in custody due to breaching her court conditions
