One last taste of summer in the North Peace

Another Food Truck Friday has come and gone in Fort St. John, with people making their way down to Festival Plaza Friday evening for some food, games and another chance to enjoy a northern summer evening while we've still got them.

Food Truck Friday was held on the last Friday of July and August this year, bringing local food trucks downtown alongside lawn games, board games and family activities, and really just giving people another reason to spend a few hours together.

Sometimes a few food trucks, somewhere to sit and a reason to stop downtown, grab something to eat and visit for a while is more than enough, especially when everyone around the North Peace knows how quickly these summers disappear on us.

Unfortunately, we're getting to that point where the word "last" starts showing up in front of our summer events, which is always a pretty good reminder of just how short the season can feel up here.

But this is the North Peace, and there's still a little summer left.

We might as well enjoy it while we've got it.
