Purdy’s holiday Dear Santa bars are back, and every bite helps support the kids in the Peace who receive support from the BC Children’s Hospital.

The ‘Dear Santa Bar’ is back for a limited time and raising money for BC Children’s Hospital and partners, with two dollars from every sale being donated to children’s hospital foundations. The money raised is used to fund vital care and essential support for children and their families in need during the holiday season.

This chocolate bar fundraiser was created in 2019 according to the official Purdy’s website, and in that time has raised more than $1 million dollars for children’s hospitals.

Many children in the Peace Region will benefit from this fundraiser and others like it, as families from all over the Peace spend their holidays in the BC Children’s Hospital.

Purdys Chocolatier recently opened their pop-up shop at Totem Mall in Fort St. John, bringing their magnificent sweets to the heart of the North Peace and providing you a location to pick up your ‘Dear Santa Bar’.

“We are so fortunate to have such strong connections with customers who love our chocolates, which allows us to expand our pop-up strategy again this year,” says Kriston Dean, VP of Sales and Marketing at Purdys Chocolatier, in a release.

Purdys is a family-owned company and has been a Canadian Chocolatier since 1907 according to their website.

“There is a clear demand for Canadian gifts this holiday season, and we want to make the best Canadian chocolate gifting option more accessible in more areas of the country,” said Dean.

As the holidays get underway, Purdys reminds Canadians that even small acts of sweetness can make a meaningful difference. Every Dear Santa Bar purchased helps brighten the season for children and families who need it most.
