Firefighters were flipping pancakes from 8:30am until 10:30am, welcoming community members into their hall for a delicious breakfast and coffee, before families made their way to the parade.
The annual parade saw thousands of community members line the streets along the designated route to view the floats as they passed. The parade travelled down 98 Street before moving over to 100 Street, with the parade coming to an end at Centennial Park.

Awards for the best parade floats were handed out during an opening ceremony by Mayor Lilia Hansen. The North Peace Fil-Can Society claimed the top prize for their parade float this year, closely followed by AGM Trucking, and Guru Nanak Sikh Temple.
Â
Centennial Park hosted various activities following the parade including a farmer’s market, mini golf, bouncy castles for families, carnival games, and various food vendors. The FSJ Classic Cruisers Car Show and Shine lined 100 Street, while live music was performed on the Centennial Park Stage throughout the day. These included performances by Dirt N'Diesel, The Sweet Water Band, Northern Winds Community Band, Tantrum and Darion Wray.
Â
Following the activities at Centennial Park, a water balloon fight was organized by friends and family at Wellness Truth and Families Foundation for the community. Everybody was invited to Mathews Park to take part in the event, which included various games activities for families and kids.
