The Boundary Lake Water Station in Electoral Area B is scheduled to reopen during the week of June 30.

The water station was closed on Aug 12, 2024, after an equipment failure impacted the quality of the water.

Since that time the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has been working to have new equipment installed in order to restore safe and reliable water to the residents.

PRRD crews have received the new treatment system and have removed the old contaminated system.

Final steps to reopen the station will include installing the system, testing the equipment and water sampling.

The reopening of the station is considered an important milestone in the region’s efforts to provide area residents with access to reliable clean water.
