The BC Highway Patrol is currently asking for anyone who might have seen or have video of the fatal crash which took place recently near Wonowon to come forward and contact the BC Highway Patrol.

Police were called up the Alaska Highway on January 26 around noon, following a head on collision that involved a black Dodge Caravan and green Ford F350 truck. Police said the initial force of the head on collision sent the two vehicles directly into the side of a logging truck.
“This collision was severe. The driver of the black Dodge Caravan, a 27-year-old man from Grande Prairie, Alberta, did not survive,” says Corporal Michael McLaughlin with BC Highway Patrol. “The driver of the F350 has been arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death. Police need witnesses and dash-camera video of the events before and after the crash to determine exactly what happened.”
RCMP noted that both the Ford F350 and Dodge Caravan had Alberta license plates and a 25-year-old male from Swift Current, Saskatchewan, was arrested and taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The individual who was operating the logging truck was unharmed from the incident.
The BC Highway Patrol would like anyone who might have witnessed the crash or who has dash cam or other video footage to call BC Highway Patrol Fort St. John at 250-787-8140 and quote file (3403) 2026-733.
