The North Peace spring tradition was once again bringing folks together under one roof as guests came throughout the weekend, whether it was to browse vendors or spend time with their families and friends.
For more than half a century now, the Fort St. John Trade Show has been a spring tradition here in the North Peace and what started as a 20-booth show has grown to roughly 300.
The trade show is one of the regions largest annual events and draws in people and businesses from all over, bringing everyone and a little bit of everything together for a wonderful weekend in the North Peace.
The event was held at the Pomeroy Sports Centre between April 10-12 and featured a wide range of vendors including booths from CST Savings, Rotary, BCER, FSJ Chamber of Commerce, Energetic County Fair, North Peace Search & Rescue, Rhythm Auctions and loads more.
The event featured performances and demonstrations of all kinds, as well as various vendors providing delicious snacks including Dole Whip, Kettle Corn, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade and the all-time favorite, mini donuts.
There was something for everyone as families toured the trade show, from exploring the Kids Zone with multiple bouncy castles, face painting, a treasure hunt contest with loads of prizes and performances by Norden the Magician!
For many in the North Peace, the trade show isn’t just about what’s on display, but who you run into along the way. And if this year was any indication, the tradition is as strong as ever.
