1. January 16 - Knit Knight in the Fort St. John Public Library from 4:30pm – 6:00pm. This will be drop-in, no registration required and is for ages 12+ (participants younger are welcome with a parent/guardian)

2. January 17- The Fort St. John Huskies will be playing the Beaverlodge Blades on home ice at the North Peace Arena, starting at 8:00pm.

3. January 18 – T. Buckley Trio will be performing at the North Peace Cultural Centre from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. Tickets are $30 and are available on their website or through their box office.

4. January 18 - Open Mic at the Fort St. John Legion and the Queen of Hearts Draw, 3:30pm – 7:30pm.

5. January 19 – Petronas Free Skate at the Pomeroy Sports Centre from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Children younger than eight must be accompanied by a guardian who is 16 years or older.

6. January - Realm of Fantasy Art Exhibit is open for public viewing at Peace Gallery North during the regular gallery hours. This is the first exhibit of 2025 and will be on display until February 1.

7.January 22 - Boots to Blades at the Pomeroy Sports Centre introduces toddlers and children to ice skating with two initial lessons in boots before transitioning to skates. The program uses games, activities, and toys to develop essential motor skills. Lessons are from 10:00 - 10:45am and start on time, so participants are asked to arrive early.

8. January – Situated at Mathews Park on 92A Street and 87 Avenue, the public skating loop weaves through the trees and is reserved exclusively for leisure skating—hockey is prohibited.

9. January 24 - Peace Fusion Dance Company Showcase is being held at the North Peace Cultural Centre from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. This event costs $25, and tickets can be purchased through the North Peace Cultural Centre’s website or by visiting their box office.

10. January 25– Local artist Ken Lane will be teaching at the Tropical Paint Night held at the North Peace Cultural Centre, starting at 6:00pm.
