The local RCMP conducted a traffic stop in Fort St. John recently in the area of 100th Street and 102nd Ave, resulting in multiple arrests

After being stopped by the authorities, the youth passenger then decided to attempt to flee the scene on foot while being informed he was under arrest. The youth did not comply with the local RCMP’s orders to stop

A brief foot chase followed, leading to the passenger’s arrest by law enforcement. Upon searching, the passenger was found carrying a quantity of drugs and cash according to a media release from March 6.

Both the driver and passenger were in police custody at the time of writing this, as the investigation continues.

The Fort St. John RCMP is continuing its investigation and encourages anyone with information to come forward by calling 250-787-8100.
